So, I came to the decision that I didn't want to do a simple webpage for my portfolio. Instead I want to show potential employers that I am confident enough in my talents to take them into my own interactive world, where I showcase examples of my skills as well as my past works. Basically, the way it'll work when the get to the webpage, it'll show the options in very simple buttons "Interactive Portfolio" and "Boring Portfolio". Of course, unless they're really in a hurry, they'll click on the interactive one. If they don't have unity installed, they'll have to install the web player and I'll probably put something up like "HTML is so 1990."
Anyways, for the level design I decided to mash together Alice In Wonderland and Shivering Isles. Half of the level will be based on the cartoony alice (or Mania), while the other will be based on the return to wonderland comics and american mcgee (or Maniacal). It starts out after falling down the rabbit hole into a small area with a sign, so the viewer can go to either side. Each side is symmetrical to the other with a hub layout. The garden area of each will be the skills showcase, the tea party will be professional works, and the grotto will be personal works (or school stuff). The grand court will contain a themed self-portrait (cheshire cat for maniacal, alice for mania). Here's the map with theoretical light placements and event/scripting triggers.
